  • The Film Group

The Film Appreciation Group was formerly presented by Trevor Faulkner, who had spent many years behind the scenes, in the theater, television, and film, and could relate background and anecdotes for many of his presentations. Unfortunately Trevor was unable to continue after the December of 2010.
Since September of 2011 a film has been shown in the Committee Room at the Community Center on most Wednesday afternoons, between September and April. The group is now led by Alan Dymond who shows a variety of films, ranging from early Hitchcock, to more modern movies. The group manages an average attendance of 15 a year. Alan has a reasonable number of films still to be shown, and will be experimenting with a film from the internet. However, if any member of the group, or of the U3A, has any DVD's that we might borrow, they would be much appreciated. Please contact Alan on the number shown above.
